Prophecies of Mullet!

Prophecy:Regardless who the mystery superstars will be for the big one, the reality is this will be a two horse race. For the first time since 1999 a heel will win the rumble with the only question left being whether it is Orton or Jericho. Even though Jericho finished 2008 in top form, there have been signs leading into this event that he has cooled off considerably. The Legend Killer on the other hand has returned to the type of ruthless methodical nature that characterised his successful title run 12 months ago. Throw in the fact that he needs to hold something to prevent the McMahon's from firing him, and the likelihood of an Orton rumble victory seems just an RKO away.

Prophecy:Cena's win/loss record at the Royal Rumble PPV (or any PPV for that matter) is very strong and it will take a superstar with huge momentum to knock the Champ of his pedestal. HBK remains the potential ace up the sleeve for JBL and will almost certainly be the one who will decide this match. As much as JBL can guarantee a lot of things in the WWE, one thing he can't is a title change, cause that certainly will not be happening here. Cena retains.

Prophecy:This one is clearly the toughest match to predict of the night with all the rumors going around over the last couple of months. The fact that Christian is poised for a WWE return might give the hint that Edge has a distinct advantage. However, there is also the possibility that Matt Hardy is the one responsible for Jeff's 'accidents' and the truth might come to fruition at the PPV, at the expense of Jeff's title reign. Yet if the past is any indication then when things seem to be the most complex, it is the simple answers that stand up at the end. Hardy comes into the PPV as champion and should leave the PPV as champion. Can't get more simple than that.

Prophecy:The Rosa Mendez angle has thrown an unwanted spanner into the works of what could have been a great match. Beth and Melina have shown that they can work well off each other after their huge "I Quit" match last year, so the in-ring material should be fun to watch. Unfortunately this match will be decided by those outside the ring with Santino and Rosa making their presence felt. How the Glamazon reacts to this could decide whether we have a repeat of the Trish-Mickie fan storyline for Wrestlemania.

Prophecy:It was a bit of a shock that this title change happened prior to (not during) the PPV, which could mean that a quick change back might be on the cards. Even though Hardy has been arguably the most consistent worker in the company over the last 12 months, it looks like the "All-American American" will come out of his PPV debut with the ECW title still in his keeping.
