John Cena vs. Rusev

Prophecy:Another event without a WWE Championship match where Cena has to pick up the slack. It's looking like Cena will be relegated to a match against Rusev at Mania, where he'll be the first man to pin the Bulgarian. That means Rusev will probably go over here to build things up, either by winning outright or losing by DQ and leaving Cena lying. Cena with the US Title would be ridiculous at this stage of his career, so I suppose there will have to be a triple threat or something after this so the title can be taken off of Rusev before Mania.

Prophecy:I just have to say how insanely mad I am about the Royal Rumble. I called it, but what a fucking terrible finish. What is the WWE thinking? Hopefully the literally thousands of fans that cancelled the network will change Vinnie Mac's stubborn mind. As for this match, they have to keep making Rusev look untouchable until Mania. That's where he'll get pinned for the first time. Are they seriously gonna make Cena the US Champ? Or will Cena cost Rusev the title in some other way?

Prophecy:I feel that there might be a screwjob here that will lead up the Cena/Rusev at Mania for the United States Championship. Wait a minute... this is for the US Title now? Well, either way Cena will get screwed to hopefully lead to a Triple Threat at Mania, because we don't need to see Cena/Rusev at the biggest show of the year unless they add a swerve, since it will happen here.

Prophecy:This isn't a big enough stage for Rusev to finally get pinned. This is Cena's Wrestlemania rivalry, similar to Wyatt last year. Rusev wins here, Cena wins at a Wrestlemania.

Prophecy:I think Ryback will be the next U.S. Champion, after Rusev.

Prophecy:The prediction is easier than i expected. They're going for bigger things with Rusev than just to get shut down here. A DQ win for Cena is possible of course, but the WWE has to be careful how they book; following the disaster at the Rumble.

Prophecy:Cena doesn't need the US title. This is just a match that will build up to Mania. Something will happen that will cause Cena to get a rematch at Mania.

Prophecy:Cena wins by DQ, sets up for Cena to win the US Title at Mania

Prophecy:Rusev's streak will remain intact for now but the question is whether Cena wins via dq. Hmmm

Prophecy:I reallllly can't see Cena winning the title and we know that they will probably have a rematch at Mania soooo it will either be Rusev wins by cheating, Draw/No Contest or Cena wins by DQ.

Prophecy:To all those saying that Cena doesn't need the US Title, you're all correct. But the US Title definitely fucking needs John Cena. Nonetheless, breaking Rusev's winning streak a month before Wrestlemania makes not a lick of sense.

Prophecy:And....Squashed!!!

Prophecy:Alexander Rusev will not be beaten at a nothing Pay-Per-View like Fastlane. I like that they're making the US Title relevant again though. I'll be very happy if this is the Main Event actually. I think in the history of WCW and WWE the US Title has only ever once been the Main Event Draw at a PPV.

Prophecy:Hopefully Rusev doesn't become another Wyatt who gets relegated to the mid-card after losing to Cena repeatedly. The unbeaten schtick is getting old, but this dramatically-speaking is not the place to end the streak. Honestly, in the olden days they would have extended it right throughout 2015 as well so when he finally loses at 'Mania in 2016, it really means something for the guy who he puts over, but nowadays with shorter attention spans, 'Mania 2015 seems to be where he's headed for a loss.
