A.J. Styles vs. Gunther

Prophecy:Really hate to see A.J. going out like this, but I can't really think of a more consistent setup. Goldberg, Cena, and now A.J. falling to Gunther in their final matches would cement Gunther's headline status. And A.J. has said he's out this year. Just didn't think it would be January. The only other way I think this could go is if someone like Finn Balor comes out and gets Gunther DQed so that AJ can live to fight another day.

Prophecy:I'd love to see AJ win this match and move on to one final title run before he retires... but will that last title run be in WWE or TNA? It would suck so bad for AJ to end his WWE career in Saudi Arabia, but I wouldn't put it past WWE to do that in order to push Gunther even further. I'm sticking with AJ Styles because I feel like there are still things he needs to do before he leaves.

Prophecy:Just have a gut feeling that aj is losing

Prophecy:Would Styles want his final match to be here? I don't buy it.

Prophecy:I don't think Gunther would lose to anyone in attempts to retire them before what I assume the end goal is of Brock Lesnar's potential retirement match. AJ starting and ending his career at the Rumble after 10 years does sound poetic enough for WWE to go with.

Prophecy:This aint the minor leagues

Prophecy:If he is going to retire this year then retiring at the Rumble in Riyadh is a great place to finally put his WWE career to rest. It would cement Gunther a heavy threat if he goes on to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania.

Prophecy:They really are setting him up to be a top guy.
