He needs to get past the fact that Hogan is just more popular than him right now. But I think after this, HBK will begin a roll a victories that will gain him popularity. Prophecy:I think HBK has lost a lot of matches recently. A win here would solidify a great heel run for HBK. I dont see a reason for Hogan to win. I mean Hogan is a legend and all but I got tiredof this gimmick of him coming back and destroying people a while ago. HBK takes it. HBK wins, gets the titleof "Legend" instead of Icon and builds new feuds from that.

Right now they are making HBK sound as an Icon not a Legend so maybe HBK might win here to get "Legend" status. They might have a re-match at Unforgiven with Hogan winning (And What I'm Leaning On To Happen) so his "Immortality" will still be there like it always has been.
