Ric Flair vs. Edge

Prophecy:While I still wouldn't rule out a DQ here, I'm changing my pick to Edge. If Edge is going to get a WWE Title shot, it doesn't make sense to have him lose to the Intercontinental Champion. On the other hand, it seems like it doesn't make much sense for him to carry the lesser belt. But back on the first hand, main eventers are getting these lesser titles more and more. Benoit was recently given the US Title and Cena had it until just before he was made Champion. Looks like Edge will win here.

Prophecy:Wow, the WWE has this huge great idea! Let's completely forget that Edge has been built up for a WWE title shot for a year, and give him an Intercontinental title shot against someone who he's been verbally abusing for a few weeks! Seriously, I know that Edge would do well from a victory this close to WM 22, and if this were non-title, I'd pick him without question. But since the IC title is up for grabs here, it'd only make sense for the Nature Boy to pick up the win. Still a good chance of a DQ.

On the other hand,UPDATE!!!, Im saying this year-Orton wins the rumble, so Edge will get in on RAW's main event for Wrasslemania. Anyway, Edge needs some gold,cause when was the last time we saw him wrestle? He's losing main event leval and the gold could keep him up their. Dont expect it to be A huge reign, but as A build up for WM 22. On the other hand, what has Flair done with the IC title? He's A waist of time. Prophecy:I doubt that Edge will win the IC title when he has the "Money in The Bank" shot still out there. Edge will probably either cause a DQ or lose cleanly here, and then move on to the Rumble (hopefully using his "Money in The Bank" shot against Cena). However, Ric got the last laugh on RAW. Still, I still cannot see the man who has a guranteed WWE title shot losing to the IC champion. I will stand by with my original idea: Edge either causes a DQ, or loses cleanly.

Prophecy:I'm thinking Flair will win this match due to a dq or some cheating on his part. Edge is gonna have a WWE championship match sometime in the future, and he hasn't really been wrestling a lot in the last couple months anyways.

Prophecy:There is no way Edge will stoop back down to the IC Title. He still has his money in the bank briefcase. The only possibility is a DQ.

Prophecy:Edge cannot win this match...he's still got that dam briefcase and that expires soon...winning the ic title will only confuse things and its easier and better off for him to lose it and challenge for the wwe title possibly at the rumble...maybe a dq or something because a clean loss makes edge look bad

Prophecy:I agree with Tocc. Chances are that either Edge does something stupid to get DQed, or gives up abd walks out to a countout, pushing his heel persona.

Prophecy:How long do they want Flair to hold the title for? Edge is the only third wrestler he's had to defend against, apart from HHH and Murdoch. I was expecting a Flair-Murdoch match. Anyhow, I'm saying either Edge wins the title, or wins by DQ somehow. Edge would do alot more for the titile than Flair, his first reign was awesome.

Prophecy:I don't understand...has the WWE forgotten that at WM 21 Edge was given a title contract. He should have won (from Batitsta) and lost it (Angle, HHH) by now, with a reign of a few months. Is he going to slot himself in at WM 22 and make it a Triple Threat Match. 2 reasons why not: 1. Traditionally no matter who else is in the Main Event at WM the rumble winner walks out with the big one, but unless edge win the rumble this match would be crazy. 2. Why would they have given Edge this opportunity without putting him over. He beat 5 other guys and then defended it against Matt Hardy. I think he deserves a go with the gold. I was confused up until this morning, now I hear these two have a match for a lesser belt!!! Now I don't understand a thing. Are the WWE making this up as they go? All I can think is DQ and because of the rules the DQ could come from either opponent. Ric Flair has a slight advantage as he is the champ and face in this feud. What is it with the second rate story/matches.
