Johnny Nitro vs. CM Punk

Prophecy:Benoit was definitely slated to beat CM Punk for the ECW Title at Vengeance. If CM Punk was supposed to take the title then, he would have beaten Nitro, Benoit's replacement. (Incidentally, the added pressure of being a World Champion again may have put some strain on Benoit's marriage, but that's all I'll say on that topic.) The WWE chose to put the strap on Nitro (Now "Morrison" - also not his real name...) for no apparent reason. I can only assume it's because ECW is lacking main eventers. Punk is way more over than Nitro and is likely to be the one to end Morrison's reign, but this feud will last while longer to give Morrison time to get over first, especially now that he has this new character.

Prophecy:Yes, Tocc, Benoit was slated to win the ECW Title. I was surprised, but happy that Nitro won it. I don't think it's CM Punk's time to win it yet.

Prophecy:C.M Punk, although Nitro took the title at Vengeance why would Cm Punk be getting a rematch so quickly after losing he is a shoe in to win.

Prophecy:Nitro now has a new gimmick named 'John Morrison'. That almost guarantees a win there.

Prophecy:I believe that eventually Punk will win this title just not now. U have to look at it as Benoit versus Punk through this whole feud.

Prophecy:i agree with tocc c.m punk is the only superstar that will take the title from nitro but nitro needs more of a push first. i still think they could have found someone better to face punk at vengeance though. there match really was s.h.i.t

Prophecy:He wouldn't have had a name change if he wasn't going to be in the main event picture for a while. Big Daddy V got a name change because of his new dominate storyline. Should be the same type of thing for John Morrison. I don't think that he would be changing his name if he wasn't going to be in the main event anymore. The only reason he is champion (other than the Benoit situation) is because they are trying to get him over. Once he is, they will stick him back onto a main show, with him chasing the WWE or World Heavyweight Titles rather than the Intercontinental.

Prophecy:nitro wont lose as he just gt it only as sum1 died!

Prophecy:Nitro is nothing more than a substitute because of the Benoit situation. My prediction is CM Punk as the New ECW Champion.

Prophecy:I have to say that I was surprised with WWE's quick thinking here. Since Benoit clearly wasn't going to make it, they could have picked anyone to replace him - atleast Nitro already had a lot of heel heat from feuds with Batista and the Hardy Boyz. For now, he'll retain until Punk can land the win on a bigger stage or in a bigger match. (SummerSlam?)

Prophecy:C.M. suck should lose but..... he's started to kiss vince's a** so i guess he will get the title

Prophecy:obviously benoit couldnt handle the pressures that came with life...he went on a roid rage and im just completely shocked that he did this...im a huge hart fan and i consider benoit a part of the harts since he trained in the dungeon...anyways, thats beside the point...nitro wins a boring match

Prophecy:He just won the title, he'll be champ for a bit before Punk wins it.

Prophecy:I think Benoit was going to get the title at vengences and that is way Nitro got the title so may be they will give him a very short run

Prophecy:Benoit would most definitely be defending his ECW title here, if only this whole thing hadn't happened. Anyhow, I see Nitro retaining in his first title defense, which he seemed to be just thrown into at the last minute. Punk might get lucky at Summerslam.

Prophecy:First title defense even though he's not ready yet.

Prophecy:All I will say is this....ONE of the big three belts will change hands...And I have predicted two of those three retaining. Oh EDGE!

Prophecy:i hate the fact that wwe doesnt want to give cm punk a push cause every time he gets close to wining the title he loses its getting ridiculous.So nitro wins and punk wins at summerslam.but i want punk to win

Prophecy:Punk should win only because he's over and Nitro isn't.

Prophecy:He'll probably drop the title to either Elijah Burke or Kevin Thorn later.
