John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. Rey Mysterio

Prophecy:So sad to see two former World Champions battle it out for the Intercontinental strap. There's barely any build-up for this match either. Regardless of the winner, this feud will probably continue on Raw through Backlash. I'll go with JBL retaining.

Prophecy:I want rey mysterio to win as the fans love him as a wrestler but jbl is sure to get the win here because he is set to retire at wrestlemania 25, so wwe would allow him to retain his title at wm25 which is also in his hometown and their wud be some fans who would cheer for jbl...maybe rey could get the title at the next ppv.

Prophecy:The only reason this match was put on the card is because both men needed a match. Since I think Rey's going back to Smackdown in the draft, JBL will probably retain the belt. But then again, there is the home town curse to consider.

Prophecy:I feel bad for these two, even JBL deserves more than this.

Prophecy:I am very suprised at the votes here, even though this is still very early. About JBL retiring, I want to know where this "Rumor" is coming from. According to JBL's comments on WWE.com, he says he is in the prime of his life physically. He will not retire. I see JBL restoring presige back into the IC title, just like he did the the WWE title. I have waited for three years for JBL to be a champion and now he is a champion. Perhaps the historic outlook is the unmasking of Mysterio or costing Taker the match at WM25. He will retain and hold it for a long time. Go JBL.

Prophecy:It's a shame to see this match simply thrown together just so these two can have a match. Given a good buildup and storyline this match could actually deliver, but I digress. JBL just won the title so it would be awkward to drop it this soon. Rey however hasn't competed at Mania since he won the World Title at Mania 22. Hmm..maybe he's due for a win here? I'm changing my prediction to Rey after a lot of consideration. Something tells me JBL will still have something up his sleeve for later in the evening due to his proclamation that he will do something historic and shocking at Mania and with the frustration of possibly losing to Mysterio in his home state who knows what he will try and pull off.

Prophecy:He just won the title. There ain't no way that he loses this title that quickly. Plus, JBL has Regal and Layla to help him out in this one.

Prophecy:I am very shocked at the predictions. I have heels winning the World championships and to balance it out I feel the need to pick a face. Mysterio always seems to play the underdog and come out on top and I'm sure WWE will please it's kiddie fans by having Rey go over the hometown hero. BUT....make no mistake about it, I want JBL to crush Mysterio like a waffle on a waffle iron. Bad example, but you get the point.
