Prophecies of The Tocc

Prophecy:I still feel like Batista becoming the champ at Mania was part of his contract negotiations. Otherwise I can't make sense of Batista winning the Rumble in the first place. But at the same time I can't see Bryan making it to the title match only to lose. This is Bryan's year.

Prophecy:Thanks, Taker, for always giving us an easy lock at Mania. It makes no difference that you're old, and Lesnar would obviously dominate you physically in any other contest anywhere ever. The streak will never be broken, certainly not now. If anyone is going to break it, it will either be Kane (due to their history) or someone much younger who could use the accolade to build up his character. Lesnar, a part-time performer with plenty of clout already, does not need the win. I expect to see Taker kick out of at least 2 F-5's before winning this one by tombstone.

Prophecy:Kudos to the creative team for finding a replacement for CM Punk in his planned match against HHH and addressing the fuck-up of Batista winning the Rumble in one fell swoop. With 2 matches in 1 night and a good chance of a title win, WMXXX belongs to Daniel Bryan. If the Undertaker weren't in a match, this would be my lock.

Prophecy:Cena could really put Wyatt over huge by jobbing here, but Wyatt just making it into a match with Cena at Mania is a huge step for him regardless. I think this since this is WrestleMania and Cena is unquestionably the face in this match, he'll make the kiddies happy and come away with the win.

Prophecy:A lofty name for a catch-all match for all the mid-card talent with no storylines. It's basically the Royal Rumble if you took away the title shot and all the main event players. It seems like they'll all start in the ring together though. As MCM0530 and others have speculated, Big Show is the favorite for sure. WWE TV has confirmed that by repeating it incessantly... to the point that it seems like a swerve is coming. There are 3-4 slots still open (depending on whether Christian can compete). With possibilities like Rusev, RVD, Jericho, Punk, Sting, and Hulk Hogan himself, I'm flip-flopping between Show and "a last minute entry" FTW.

Prophecy:This could really go either way. The members of the Shield have all been on the same page recently, but they're destined to go their separate ways eventually, just like the members of the Nexus did. It's really a question of whether this match will be used to further their break-up or just used to get them over as faces while they seek retribution against the corporate team. This match may be one of the final times the Shield stands united.

Prophecy:As much as I can see AJ retaining, Mania could use some more title changes. Top picks are Naomi, Tamina, and Brie Bella, in that order. Naomi was getting a HUGE push but was derailed by her eye injury. Since then other storylines have progressed, but Naomi still has momentum. Brie was getting a lot of attention before that, but then the focus on her seemed to shift to Nikki, so I'm not sure what happened there. Tamina is picking up momentum recently, and her relationship with AJ would create a compelling storyline if she ends up with the title. Bottom line: I see Naomi hitting the rear view on Tamina and AJ swooping in to steal the pinfall, retain the title, and further piss off her muscle.

Prophecy:This is yet another catch-all type of match, this time for the tag team division. I mean, it's great that the creative team is finding a spot on the card for everyone on the roster, but I've got more creativity in my johnson. The Real Americans and Rybaxel were in virtually the same exact fatal 4-way match at TLC just a few months ago. As for the winner, after spending years scratching and clawing their way to the top of the mountain, it would suck if the Usos had their title reign cut short. Plus this is supposedly the opening match, so the Usos are a pretty safe bet.
