Prophecies of The Tocc

Prophecy:HHH pinned Benoit in the middle of the ring on the last Raw before the pay-per-view. So now the two most telling facts are pointing to opposite conclusions. These facts are: gold is attracted to HHH and the guy who gets the upper hand in the final TV show before the event usually loses. I previously wrote "if I've learned anything since starting this site, it's 'when in doubt go with HHH'." But recent events have swayed me. I've changed my mind and I'm going with Benoit now.

Prophecy:The Honky Tonk Man's record for the longest stint with the IC title is four days shy of one year and 3 months. Back in the 80's, it was common to hold a belt for a year or so. That's just not the case anymore. Orton won his belt on December 14th, 2003. That means he'd have to retain the title for another 7-8 months to break the record. I just don't see the WWE wasting that kind of time. Orton is ready to move up to the world title hunt. However, I don't think they'll waste Edge's time with the lesser belt either. Plus, Orton is all over the posters for Vengeance. I've changed my mind here too. He'll last through this match.

Prophecy:Jericho just got a decisive win over Tomko in the last Pay Per View. Maybe he'll become the go-to-guy for bringing these big boys down. Since I don't see him getting a title back any time soon, hopefully this tiny titan in elevator boots will get some glory with a new Giant Killer reputation.

Prophecy:Another tough call. Instinct is telling me to go with the poofters.

Prophecy:The no DQ stipulation makes things a little easier for Matt to mount an offense. And even though Matt could really benefit from a win here, Kane caught a beat down on Raw. Matt will lose this one but the feud will definitely continue. I'm going with Kane for this feud opener.

Prophecy:This rivalry is reborn from Mania when Molly got her head shaved. WWE really hasn't progressed the plot between these two since then, so it's strange that they're slated to compete here. I think since Victoria won the last one, and there's no title involved here, Molly will come away with the win. I suspect this match will just be used to get some outside interference going with Trish or Gail or something. Otherwise it's pretty pointless.
