Prophecies of The Tocc

Prophecy:OK, after the recent involvement of Orlando Jordan and after reading the convincing JBL prophecies here, I have changed my prediction. I still think Bradshaw shouldn't have won the belt in the first place, and Taker will get his "last ride" with the belt eventually. Eric, you may be on to something when you say that JBL/Jordan is reminiscent of Ted DiBiase/Virgil.

Prophecy:This one is tough to call. Do they give it to Eddie to make up for his short title run or do they give it to Kurt since Eddie won their last encounter? Eddie has been having a lot of fun at Kurt's expense lately, but Kurt did cost Eddie the title, twice. I'm sticking with Eddie here. We need some face victories.

Prophecy:I expect this to be an awesome match. Tension will grow between Orton and HHH as Orton "evolves" his role in Evolution, but I don't think it will be over Orton winning the title here. That would rush things a bit. It's good to see Orton stepping up to main event status though, and I'm sure he will hold the title in the future. Orton scored a pinfall over Benoit in the recent 6-man tag on Raw. That might mean something, but Benoit came back by making Orton tap and putting on a great 2-on-1 showing the following week. So we're back to square one. Raw may follow Smackdown's lead by moving the title from a patient, deserving veteran to a fresh up-and-coming character. That goes in Orton's favor. However my gut still tells me that Benoit will retain here. Shelton Benjamin is due to return. Maybe he'll renew the feud that was just getting started with Orton.

Prophecy:Eugene is certainly a great wrestler and may one day be elevated to main event level competition, but he'll need to lose his gimmick first. Don't get me wrong. He's funny. But they won't give anyone the belt who is going to drool on it. The bottom line is that HHH will not job to him at a big PPV like Summerslam. The only question here is whether HHH will flat out win or lose as a result of interference / DQ. Since he already beat the tar out of Eugene on Raw (and Regal too) I don't see another massacre this time. I see a great match ending with a swift HHH victory. Then when he goes after Eugene in the post-match, Regal will come to the rescue and the crowd will be left with Eugene's victory music playing.

Prophecy:So Lita agreed to this because Kane cannot physically interfere in their Matt & Lita's life if Matt wins. I thought that's why she had sex with Kane in the first place. Anyway, given the ridiculous stipulation, I've got to go with the shock value. I say Kane wins and the following Raw has everyone wondering "What will Lita do now?" They've already announced that Kane is the father, so why not the hubby? Plus Matt came away with the last victory, which makes it even more unlikely that Kane will job again.

Prophecy:This one is between Edge and Batista. Jericho is a better wrestler but since he was already the undisputed champion he has no use for the IC strap. Plus he just pinned Edge in a non-title match on Raw, so he won't beat him again. I see the Y2J-Edge feud continuing, and based on the house shows advertising Jericho vs Edge for the IC Title I'm ruling out Batista. Edge retains, with a possible heel turn and assistance from Christian.

Prophecy:I don't see Cena getting his US Title back. However, this is just the first of five matches (what an odd stipulation...), so that means the title won't change even if Cena wins. Basically the winner here just gets to look good at Summerslam. Cena will pick up the V here, and the best-of-five series will go: cena, booker, booker, cena, and in a controversial ending... booker. Cena will then make a bee line for the WWE Title.

Prophecy:I'm changing my mind with this one. The dudleys had the upper hand on the last smackdown. I expect this match will be the opener, and will be used to draw the crowd in with high flying action and a happy ending. It's great that Paul London is finally getting some well deserved TV time. He's just fun to watch.

Prophecy:This is the obligatory T&A for the PPV. God I hate this Raw Diva Search. It's the most painful 10 minutes on TV every week. They should just pick the winner already. Most of these girls are already famous and have their own websites. The worst part is they don't don't know squat about wrestling. If Christy the Spaz, Carmella the Moron, or Amy the Dirty Slut wins I'll be pretty pissed off. Joy, Tracie, and Michelle are my favs. But I digress. I give this match to the Raw divas as I think it won't be scripted. This will be real dodgeball. The real divas are more athletic and are used to being in front of a crowd.
