Prophecies of The Tocc

Prophecy:In their recent 3-way match at Vengeance, I thought Jericho would take the WWE title back over to Smackdown. The WWE juked me and sent Batista there instead. This time there is no compelling reason for Jericho to win, except he just may be due for another title run... maybe. Regardless, Cena is the safer bet. He's on top of the world right now with his stupid spinning title. I expect he'll retain.

Prophecy:How many times have we heard that a match will be Hogan's "last match"? If it's true this time, he will certainly go out with a win. Don't expect this to be the beginning of a feud. I'm hoping this is not just a way to promote Hogan's new Reality Show but a legitimate attempt to go out with a great match. If anyone can carry a great match, it's HBK.

Prophecy:I have a hard time believing that Batista's title run is over, but recent events have made me change my original prediction. Despite this being the third pay-per-view in a row in which Bradshaw has challenged for the title and the fact that he was in every championship match on pay-per-view in the past year (as champion), I believe he will win back the title, even if only for a short run. SummerSlam needs a title change, and I haven't predicted any others. (Cena will not lose, and I doubt Benoit will take a step backwards in his career.) Plus, on the last episode of Smackdown, JBL guaranteed he'd win the title (his guarantees always come true) and he was on the receiving end of a beat-down from Batista. Both of those facts point to him winning at SummerSlam. I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict Brock Lesnar to return and interfere, costing Batista his belt and starting a monster vs monster feud.

Prophecy:I've got to hand it to these guys to be able to work together as professionals despite their real-life history. As for the winner, with decisive wins over just about everyone recently, Edge's monster push is going to win him this feud. However, we can expect this semi-unplanned feud with Matt to have some staying power for at least a couple of pay-per-views. I say the WWE gives the fans what they want and lets Matt win the opener in this, his comeback match. This battle goes to Matt but the war will go to Edge so he can go on to his inevitable "money in the bank" title shot vs Cena with his push still intact.

Prophecy:This one is Orton all the way. Taker's job now is to put over young talent, except at WrestleManias where his winning streak will never be broken. Taker won at Mania. Orton will win here. This is all part of the push Orton will get toward his inevitable next run with the World Title.

Prophecy:Kurt is definitely going to win his gold medals back and what better place than SummerSlam? I doubt this will be a drawn out feud. I hope Angle knocks some sense into Eugene and changes his character. The only thing that makes me doubt this prediction is that Eugene caught a can of Angle flavored Whoop Ass on the final Raw before the event... but I'm sticking with Angle as Eugene hasn't been very popular with the crowds lately.

Prophecy:Now that this is a ladder match, I'm actually looking forward to it. It should be a show stealer. However, I am sick sick sick of this feud and this stupid storyline about Dominick, who is the spitting image of his mother. Dominick will wind up going home with Rey. The question is whether Eddie will win this match and give the boy back afterwards, or lose the match and continue his losing streak against Rey. I'm changing my prediction to Eddie because I think it makes for better TV.

Prophecy:Orlando is not ready to have a guy like Benoit put him over. That's like having Batista job to Heidenreich. OJ is just not at that level yet, so I really don't understand this mini feud. However there is still no point to Benoit winning a belt designed for rising members of the WWE undercard. Actually, I will be pissed if either wins this cleanly. Orlando retains, hopefully by way of outside interference.
