Prophecies of Unforgiven 05

Prophecy:This match deserved a lot more buildup than it received, but with that aside, I'm hoping Hardy will get a decent performance out of JBL. Although JBL is no longer in the title picture, he has maintained a strong position in the upper midcard, whereas Hardy is several notches below that. JBL will probably win this one.

Prophecy:Kid Kash is a wonderful talent, maybe even better than any of the Mexicools, but I think his push may have to wait at least a few more months. Moreover, keeping the title on Juventud would be a smarter business decision. For the belt to have some credibility, it shouldn't change hands too frequently. It's hard to call, but I'll go with Juventud on this one. Either way, it should be an excellent match.

Prophecy:Unless Benoit's leaving the company soon (just a few unsubstantiated rumors from anonymous sources, mind you), he's definitely going to keep this feud going. Booker T taking the whole series would be a total letdown, and I don't think even the WWE is silly enough to do that to us, so Benoit is all but guaranteed to claim this one.

Prophecy:Hey, wait. If Mysterio and Batista are now the tag champions (bad idea, in my opinion), this probably shouldn't be labeled "Tag Team Championship" anymore. It's a shame--but after all, these are four excellent athletes who don't need any titles in the mix to put on a compelling show. If it were still for the belts, I'd go with MNM hands down, and I think I'm still going to go with them now. After losing the titles, the team has to maintain credibility on Smackdown.

Prophecy:I'm really not sure about this one. Smackdown shouldn't keep winning all the time, and there's really no reason why Mysterio and Batista should win this particular match. But taking WWE's ridiculous obsession with pushing Batista through the roof into account...I'd say the odds are in favor of the Smackdown guys. But I wouldn't rule Kane and Show out by any means. Either outcome would do a good job of advancing the RAW vs. SD storyline...which I thought was supposed to be OVER WITH at Series, like Bischoff said. But consistency has never been the WWE's strong point anyway.

Prophecy:I had a feeling that Undertaker would win this match all along, but even after last night, I'm still not certain. Orton should definitely win the Rumble and then the W.H. Title at 'Mania (ENOUGH of Batista already, for the love of God). And for that, he needs credibility. That was the main reason I was thinking of picking him. But when you think about it, Undertaker is one of those rare commodities who knows how to make another wrestler look great, whether he's going over or not. Either way, if Orton works well with him and puts on an impressive performance, this match will add to his reputation. If I were in charge, I'd actually have Orton win, but Orton's already beaten 'Taker twice. I don't think he'll go three for three.
