Prophecies of DitoWNT
Judgment Day 2006
Rey Mysterio vs. John "Bradshaw" LayfieldWorld Heavyweight ChampionshipPrediction:Rey Mysterio
Prophecy:The entire situation in its own is messed up. Randy Orton and Kurt Angle are out of the title hunt for now because there is a pending feud coming up between the two of them based on Orton's last night on SmackDown when Angle broke his leg. If Batista is coming back to an immediate title hunt, it most likely will not be against JBL because they had their feud run this time last year. This means that Rey Mysterio will have to determine where the title goes. Chances are that neither him nor Batista will take a heel turn that would allow them to face eachother for the belt. This means that there probably is some outlying person that will come in and take the belt. Mark Henry won't get it, and neither will The Undertaker. So I'm all ears for a reasonable solution to this equation. Point is: Rey wins.
Result:Rey Mysterio wins

The Great Khali vs. UndertakerAn Unintelligible UndertakingPrediction:Undertaker
Prophecy:Normally I would go with Khali or whatever rookie is being pushed by the legend at the time, but something seems a little different here. I can't see The Undertaker playing the victim to weight disadvantage two PPVs in a row, and it doesn't really seem like Davari would be any real interference marker either. Plus, Khali doesn't really look or seem like the crafty type that would steal a victory. And even MORE so, we just watched Umaga beat Ric Flair in this same kind of crap at Backlash, which would put old school fans in a bad mood to see 2 legends fall in such a short time. These signs are pointing me to an Undertaker call here.
Result:The Great Khali wins

Melina vs. JillianGirls Gone BadPrediction:Melina
Prophecy:Women's title matches tend to be a bullshit way of passing around a totally ignored title, kind of like the European and Cruiserweight titles. However, it's very rare that there is actually a female grudge match going on in a Pay Per View. I can see MNM interfering here and causing Jillian to become distracted, leading to a quick move and/or a rollup, giving Melina the win. Don't worry, MNM still won't win.
Result:Jillian Hall wins

Booker T vs Bobby LashleyKing of the Ring Tournament FinalsPrediction:Booker T
Prophecy:Ok, I think I have figured out this entire King of the Ring tournament thing. Booker T is the only guy with enough heel heat, fanbase and history to actually carry the title by taking it off of Rey Mysterio (or Batista, but most likely Rey). Lashley, while looking like a true competitor for the crown, is just along for the ride while gaining popularity with the fans and building up some mic charisma (like busting into Sharmell and Booker's lockerroom). I can see Lashley becoming a contender for the United States Championship, but not the World one... yet. In the mean time, Booker will use his heat to get the title that he has been teased with for so long. Between the WM XIX match with Triple H, his feud at the end of 2004 with JBL, and his feud with The Rock before the fallout of the WCW title to make the unified belt. He earned this one.
Result:Booker T wins

MNM vs. London & KendrickWWE Tag Team ChampionshipPrediction:MNM
Prophecy:This one reminds me of Billy Gunn vs Jamie Noble. Jamie Noble had been on a losing streak that lasted almost a year (pretty bad). However, when the heat was on, WWE made him the winner because everyone assumed that his losing streak would continue. The same proves to be present here. MNM has had a lot of charisma while carrying the Tag Team Championships, like feuding with Batista. The titles haven't had a lot of light on them at all in the past couple of years, so this is a thing that needs to be kept going. Hopefully, WWE will realize this. In the mean time, this gives London and Kendrick a chance to build up some mic skills, or some other form of charisma, or for another team to come along that can fill that slot (maybe a team from ECW?).
Result:London & Kendrick win

Kurt Angle vs. Mark HenryClash of the OlympiansPrediction:Mark Henry
Prophecy:I can see Angle taking some injury leave for a couple of months, and being able to have a strong comeback with both the injury recovery and revenge cards to play with. This also gives room for Batista to come back and not have a conflict of too many title contenders. This can ALSO mean that Batista and Angle can save up time to have a possible feud down the road (a WrestleMania feud wouldn't be bad). In the mean time, Mark Henry becomes "the man who took out Kurt Angle", giving him heat to go up against whatever opponent is going to kick his ass next. Honestly, he has gone and come back like 10 times since his debut, and nobody has ever asked for him to return. The WWE just uses him to have an "Oh my God, what POWER!" comment every now and then, yet every match he has involves some "underdog" overcoming Mark's size and taking the win. Factly speaking, he's not good enough to put some rookie over, and he won't win a title, so hopefully he will just kill himself by the time summer comes.
Result:Mark Henry wins

Finlay vs. Chris BenoitCeltic Cross Crosses the CrossfacePrediction:Chris Benoit
Prophecy:As much as I want to say that Benoit is going to be giving this one up to build up heat for Finlay (being the new guy and all), I have to agree with Tocc and say that mid-card status will most likely be Finlay's best friend from now on. He doesn't have the look or the charisma to carry either singles championships on SmackDown!, so giving him a win here would most likely be wasted. The only shot the Finlay has of beating Benoit is if someone interferes on Finlay's behalf, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Benoit needs to get back into the U.S. or World Heavyweight title run at some point, and this might be it.
Result:Chris Benoit wins
