Batista vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield

Prophecy:The winner here almost certainly depends on the winner of the World Championship match, and I'm still not sure about that one yet. For now I'm leaning towards the face in that match so I'll lean towards the heel in this one.

Prophecy:Batista. Simply because I think it would be a joke if JBL won the number one contender spot to face Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Title. plus Batista?s getting all the glory.

Prophecy:Not so sure about this yet but JBL sorta fits more. Batista's had his fair share of the world title and I reckon he'll just be a contender at most. JBL though has worked his ass of as of late (more on the mic) and the heat he demands is pretty decent. I'd rather see him in the title match than another boring Batista one. I agree with Tocc though, this really does depend on the World Title winner.

Prophecy:So I assume the winner will get a title match on Raw and not on PPV. That makes this match a little more unpredictable, but since Jericho will most likely retain, Batista wins here. Y2J and Batista do have a score to settle after all.

Prophecy:JBL will find a way to cheat, and then he'll fight HBK for the title at a later time.

Prophecy:no heel vs heel

Prophecy:he is the most deserving wrestler on raw to get a shot at the title. I can't wait till ortons back so he can reclaim the title.

Prophecy:Batista and Jericho have some unfinished business and it's unlikely Batista will job to JBL. JBL winning would produce (more than likely) an HBK v. JBL encounter which wouldn't really be all that thrilling if you ask me.

Prophecy:No reason for JBL to win this one.

Prophecy:Batista is the won with the like most spot light and I don't think it makes sense for JBL to faces HBK

Prophecy:jbl has had his chances, and wwe has a habit of repeating matches batista vs. hbk next ppv

Prophecy:I think it would be really cool to see Chris Jericho feud with JBL for this title. Besides, he would deserve this title for all the hard work he has done in the WWE.

Prophecy:I'll go with JBL sneaking in a cheap win here. Personally, neither of these two in my opinion deserve to be No. 1 contender given their many recent attempts at the belt (Batista at GAB, JBL at Summerlsam, Scramble match at Unforgiven). Nonetheless, the match could be entertaining.

Prophecy:If Michaels wins JBL must win

Prophecy:Maybe they will bring closure to whole JBL and Jericho feud from earlier this year. Who knows?

Prophecy:Batista and Y2J could have a pretty enjoyable feud over the next few months for the title.

Prophecy:He hasn't won a big match in a while. Time for the old "Wrestling God" to shine once again.

Prophecy:Batista will win

Prophecy:I think JBL will win this, regardless of who walks out of No Mercy with the World Title. I think Batista needs to move on from main event status.

Prophecy:Too be honest I'm sick of batista always in the mix and I like Jiggly Breasts Layfeild on the mic but i can't stand to watch him wrestle
